Meet Jason

Jason Choo has been in the financial services industry since 2017. His career began during his university internship, and it quickly became his first full-time job. Since then, Jason has made incredible strides both personally and professionally.

Looking Back at 2024: A Year of Milestones

When asked to summarize his year, Jason highlighted the various transitions he experienced. "It was a year of many milestones, both in my personal life and career. I became a father, bought my first property, and stepped into the role of a unit manager," Jason shares. Managing these significant life changes simultaneously was no small feat, yet he embraced the challenges head-on.

The Key to Consistent Success: Believing in the Process

Achieving consistent results and breakthroughs isn’t accidental, and Jason credits his success to a mindset rooted in process and perseverance. He shares, “Believe in the process. Build productive habits and practices, test them, refine them, and then persevere in them—especially during times when motivation is low.” By maintaining a strong work ethic and focusing on long-term growth, Jason ensures that he remains resilient even when faced with challenges.

A Winning Philosophy: Systems Over Goals

Jason’s business philosophy is centered around the idea that systems are more important than goals. Drawing inspiration from James Clear’s book Atomic Habits, he says, “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” For Jason, focusing on self-improvement and refining daily systems is key to achieving success over time.

Advice for Aspiring MDRT Qualifiers

For those looking to qualify for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) next year, Jason offers simple but powerful advice: "Examine the lives of your role models, and learn what is different between them and you. Then apply it in your life." By observing the habits and practices of successful individuals, aspiring professionals can bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be.

Voda: A Collaborative Bunch

When asked to describe Voda, the word Jason chose was "collaborative." This highlights the spirit of teamwork and shared success that permeates the company culture.

Jason Choo’s journey from a university intern to a leader in the financial industry offers valuable lessons on perseverance, personal growth, and the importance of systems over goals. His insights serve as inspiration for anyone aspiring to achieve success in their own career.
